Prince Stanley Ifeanyichukwu Ogbuewu (EBEKUODIKE)
Hon. Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Ebonyi State.
Dear Convener and Members of the Board of Ezi-Aha Festival.
I write to commend you for hosting a deeply impactful Ezi-Aha Youth Conference under the theme Heritage to Enterprise: Turning Culture and Tourism into Employment. The focus was clear, the delivery was purposeful, and the outcomes already speak for themselves.
The programme—keynote addresses, focused lectures, a very inspiring panel session, the unveiling segment, a cultural dance presentation, moments of appreciation, and refreshments—was thoughtfully curated to balance inspiration with practical direction. The keynote speakers set a strong tone, the lectures translated heritage into concrete enterprise pathways, and the panelists brought lived experience and honest dialogue that helped participants see how culture and tourism can be converted into jobs and ventures. The unveiling gave everyone something tangible to rally around, the cultural dance anchored the day in identity, and the appreciations recognized those who made it possible while the refreshments fostered warm, informal networking.
Turnout may have been lower than projected, but the depth of engagement more than compensated. The smaller setting allowed for closer interaction with speakers and panelists, richer questions during the lectures, and meaningful connections that are already opening doors to mentorships, internships, and collaborative projects. Several young participants left with clear next steps for turning cultural knowledge and tourism opportunities into real work.
Thank you for prioritizing substance over scale and for creating a space where ideas could be examined carefully. I encourage you to keep building on this foundation—sustain the lecture series and panel discussions, expand partnerships with schools and local enterprises, document the stories emerging from this edition, and continue offering platforms where heritage meets enterprise. Your service is helping young people find dignity through work while preserving what makes our community unique.
Please accept my heartfelt appreciation for your vision, effort, and perseverance. I look forward to the next edition and remain ready to support the growth of the Ezi-Aha Youth Conference.
With sincere gratitude,

One of our own, my friend, made it to the chart already. Her name is Lorita. Very modest and calm. This is just the beginning, unless If you didn't attend the Igbọ youth culture and tourism conference which PCE SUG led by Comr. Godsown selflessly and tirelessly mobilised Peaceland students from all nook and crannies using more than 20k to transport all the students (including students coming from various University and College of Nursing) to the location ICC Enugu, conference where you must have benefited from the 20k that was raining like water and more than 10 people received which many of our students pocketed and clean mouth. 5k was shared to more than 25 participants which many of our students received and clean mouth too. Free Airtime was water. There were dignitaries present like CEO,Focus Africa who did a keynote was busy rewarding questions gotten correctly with 20k which some of our students got too. What about Nani Boy, the prolific writer and movie producer who was empowering youths there with immediate employment to work with him. He even was moved by their kind gesture , our 3 special students from College who came with gifts for his wife who gave birth recently, because of the emotional catastrophe in the air, Nani Boy use vex and gave them better money both them and the interpreter , before the interpreter came, they weren't really understanding but they answered the call from the SUG, arrived the venue and stayed back and now they were even promised by Nani Boy to be featured in a movie soon which he'll make them lead characters and specially write the movie for them. Even the government officials there and other dignitaries were promising to sponsor the movie. And according to Nani Boy, it'll out before the end of this year. Even Barr. Dame Madueke, The commissioner for Culture and tourism, Enugu State was present there . Her speech was one of the most inspiring. Like as if it didn't do this SUG people to take us home immediately before this people will use better AC and kpai nwa mgbafor like Francis. I had to buy Procold afterwards tho. But my blood started unfreezing when the two plates of food, two meats and better drink came. Anyways, seems like I digressed. The main point of this post to appreciate those who saw it a need to answer the SUG whenever it calls. If you didn't come out that Sunday,we wouldn't be having this conversation and to note that even if you & I(although I was busy outside trying to make sure everyone attending has arrived) didn't win any cash prize that day, I know we won something. Knowledge. We won the fact that many of have been motivated to start making efforts towards our dreams. Eziaha is more than just those prizes that they use to intimidate people like me. It was an opportunity to queue in. It was an opportunity to reactivate that thing in you that has died. That passion to succeed. Finally, many of us learnt also that day to always prepare for the best and worst. Some people were asked to pitch themselves. Some did well, some didn't. You see the way some people were looking at others to succeed. You see the way some didn't care whether you're looking, they were always ready to take the bull by the horn and at the end, there was a lesson to take because next time, you wouldn't say you weren't told.
